My Barnes Boys.....

Yesterday we started our official football season. A taste of what the next 2 months holds for our family on Saturdays. Both boys had games to play, although they were only scrimmages, still just as fun. We started our morning out playing Riverton with Jensens team at 10:00 a.m., Jensen had missed practice the night before because it was cousin Owens first birthday party and he was not going to miss that, so he had to sit out all of the first quarter. Bummer. He wasn't too upset and had Drew sitting next to him on his sidelines. Their poor little team got worked, (which is typical of Riverton), the score ended up being 24-7. Jensen had some good tackles and had fun doing it. Morgan and Brenna went with us, it was a family affair and we went out to lunch afterwards. We had to leave for Kamas at 4:00 p.m. for Drews game, he needed to be their an hour early for warm-ups and then the game at 6:00 p.m. - we were lucky though, because this time Jensen and Ella had Luke and Leah to play with because Jake was playing up there yesterday also. It was a nice night. Perfect football weather for both games. Drews game lasted until around 8:00 p.m. and this time, we were the ones doing the "working" - their final score, playing South Summit was 24-7 also. Weird. Drew, unfortunately sprained his right had, now it is all wrapped up. He went to the Instacare this morning, they don't see any breaks, but will send it to the radiologist just to make sure. What a kid, there is always something with him. Gotta love that boy, he is living his life full contact!!
We do love our football season....looking forward to having alot of fun!!
