Ellas first talk in Primary....

My girl is getting so big!! (Sniff, sniff) Ella gave her first talk in Primary on Jan. 18th, she was so brave and got right up to the microphone and did her thing. She is so shy in so many ways, but for some reason, this did not scare her at all. (Maybe it is all the pretend talks she has given in the mic when we have cleaned the church, our dads favorite way to show service). After church we got home and I told her how proud I was of her, and how brave I thought she was, and for some reason she could not figure out why anyone would be afraid to give a big girl talk. I hope she can keep that attitude, because quite frankly, the idea of speaking in church gives me an instant stomach ache. I love it when my kids surprise me in ways like this.
Just a note though, speaking in primary is not bad, but going to class by herself is sometimes still an issue - weird. I love, love, love you Ella!!

Push-up position....

This post most likely needs some explanation, for those of you who know us well, this is how J.D. will punish our kids on some occasions. He puts them in "push-up position" to think about the things that they have done wrong...letting them ponder their naughty behavior. Ella thinks that it is a pretty good idea (although she has never been there herself, she will join in when her brothers are doing it). Apparently, her princess barbies have been "bad girls" - I really don't know what she was thinking at the time, but we all thought that it was pretty funny.
Another note to my blog....I am behind on alot of posts, so some things are going to be out of order, but oh well, better late than never!

Celine Dion...

Celine Dion!!! We have been waiting for about a year to go to this concert...she was supposed to come back in November, but due to some kind of surgery on her nose (I think), our day finally arrived, being a Sunday and all, we still went. We are all geeks I know, but we had a great time. This picture is of us, Jana, Julie, Janeen and I, going up the escalator to our nose bleed section seating (thanks for taking the picture Jill)...but with a little luck and some kind of good living, a nice usher that took some pictures of us, (also found up top) came and found us 2 songs into the concert and got us awesome seats in the lower bowl...we were able to see much better and felt kinda special that he would think of us. He did say that we couldn't get "any cuter" - wow! Can anyone disagree, really??!? (:
Just a note, anyone who gets the chance to see her in concert should take it, she is an amazing performer and so full of energy. Her singing seems effortless and she is beautiful as well.
